"Over Achiever"

This week, a good friend referred to me as an "over achiever" in regards to baby prep. She's probably right...but I blame it on my "planner/organizer" genes, and the fact that the spring is NUTS for both Justin and I at work, so we're making an effort to get big things done now so that we don't have to worry about them when we're both swamped at work. So, what have we been "over-achieving" on??? Here's what we've accomplished so far, in no particular order:

1) We have both a girl and a boy name ready...we're open to considering other names, but we're pretty stuck on what we've picked so far. And no, we won't tell any of you what the names are. Guess you'll just have to wait :).

2) We finally bought and with the help of Dad H, hung ceiling fans in both the nursery and the other room. Really, this is only partly baby related, but still had to be done!

3) We've bought the nursery furniture. In my defense, it wasn't supposed to arrive until mid-to-late February...so when it arrived instead in mid-January we really couldn't help but begin to assemble it. As of now, the dresser has been assembled (with the help from Dad H--thank goodness) and the crib is set to be assembled today.

4) We've bought our two posters for the wall, and the frame for one of the them. Dad H is on the job for building a frame for the second poster. Neither are actually IN the frame yet...so better add that to the to-do list :).

5) We're 99% sure on the nursery bedding. It's super cute and gender neutral. I can't help it if I found one right away that we liked, can I?

6) We're buying and assembling the shelving unit for the nursery this evening...it's really because the baby already has tons of books and we need somewhere to put them...oh, did I mention the baby already has a small library? I guess that's what happens when one grandma is a teacher and so is the mom :).

That's pretty much it, so I mean, really, I'm not THAT much of an over-achiever...am I? There's still PLENTY left to do :). I'm thinking though that in March, April, and May, when I start to get huge and have tons of meetings and have to travel for work, I'll be very glad that my over-achieving self got so much accomplished so early!!
