It's still hard to believe that 9 months ago we came home with this bundle...
and now we're having fun with this one...
This last month has been full of excitement for Brie. She has learned how to crawl, is babbling like crazy, and can pull herself up to standing. She also has tooth number 5 poking through and likely has a few others that are getting ready as well, based on the amount of drool we've been experiencing lately. The not so fun time this month was her first double ear infection and a really nasty cold. We are hoping that it is behind us, because we much prefer our happy healthy baby over our poor, little sick baby! This next month should be exciting as we watch her continue to explore, she begins eating some more exciting table foods and as her legs and balancing skills bring her closer to walking (eek!).

So Proud!
Those of you who know me, know that my absolute favorite part of my job is coaching TSD's Academic Bowl Team. Every year they go to one competition and it is always the highlight of my year. This year, I just couldn't make the trip. It was six nights, in D.C., and there was just no way I could leave my happy, laughing baby for that long. So, I sat home and anxiously awaited all the text updates from my assistant coach. They did awesome again this year and made it into the top 16 out of 80 teams from across the nation! Plus, one of my players was named an all star player (they pick 16 players out of 300+!). While it was hard for me to watch and wait for results from afar, I know it would have been much harder to have been away from home for almost a week (especially while still nursing!). Hopefully I'll be able to make the trip again next year; we'll have three returning players so we should be a team to be reckoned with once again!

My Sister was on TV--and so was Brie :)
Reanna's B & E Creations were featured on NTV this morning (click and scroll to find the B & E Creations story)! SO proud of my baby sister!
Download My Friend Erin's AWESOME BOOK
My friend Erin's awesome book, The Christian Mama's Guide to Having a Baby, is free this week for download on Kindle. So, even if you're not pregnant, download it (you never know)! The goal
is that the book gets into the top 100 free Kindle books and every
download helps. This book is honestly the favorite pregnancy book I read! Help Erin out and download her book today :)!
This is Erin and her baby Will, who was born a couple of months before Brie :)

Happy Easter!
Brie's first Easter is going to be quite uneventful. An outing to church in her pretty pink dress (if she wakes up and her fever is gone!) and then an afternoon at home with mommy and daddy. No Easter basket, no egg hunts, just chillin' with her two favorite people and her two favorite doggies :).
Yesterday, we got to celebrate Easter/the end of the McKayla's first year with her home-school group. Brie wasn't feeling 100%, but still had a fun time watching her cousins and showing off her mad crawling skills. We always enjoy our time with the Schlafers!
On Good Friday, we were able to meet up with Justin, Kat and Ella in Waco. We found the best place to meet up, Cameron Park. It's huge and has walking trails and big open green spaces with huge trees so you can stay in the shade. It's all bordered by a pretty river too. We had a great time hanging out with them and it's always fun to have Ella and Brie together :).
Brie trying out her bunny ears from Grandma H...she wasn't too sure about them :)

I always seem to capture a cute photo of these two entranced by something :)
We hope you all have a blessed day as you remember the Wonder of the Cross!

We can crawl...
...and pull ourself up on objects (haven't figured out we can do this on furniture...yet...but it's coming soon...). My baby is growing up! Can't believe she is halfway through her 8th month, time flies when you're having fun :)! Here's a little video of her recent accomplishments.
And here's a couple of pictures from before church yesterday, because a post isn't a post without a picture!
