So Proud!

Those of you who know me, know that my absolute favorite part of my job is coaching TSD's Academic Bowl Team.  Every year they go to one competition and it is always the highlight of my year.  This year, I just couldn't make the trip.  It was six nights, in D.C., and there was just no way I could leave my happy, laughing baby for that long.  So, I sat home and anxiously awaited all the text updates from my assistant coach.  They did awesome again this year and made it into the top 16 out of 80 teams from across the nation!  Plus, one of my players was named an all star player (they pick 16 players out of 300+!).  While it was hard for me to watch and wait for results from afar, I know it would have been much harder to have been away from home for almost a week (especially while still nursing!).  Hopefully I'll be able to make the trip again next year; we'll have three returning players so we should be a team to be reckoned with once again!
