Turning 30...

Well, it's officially happened, I've reached "club-30's" as my sweet, sweet husband calls it =). I think I feel pretty much the same as I did at 29, but it is kind of odd to think that I'm out of my 20's and I've been alive for three decades. Crazy!

I was SO blessed to have my whole (immediate) family here for the big day. My mom, dad and sister drove down from NE and picked up Justin in Dallas. Reanna and I got in some awesome sister time on Friday and then the whole family trekked out to Fredericksburg to visit a few wineries and do some shopping on Saturday. Today we enjoyed a wonderful brunch at an Italian buffet, played some games, opened some gifts, and then enjoyed some yummy strawberry shortcake. I really couldn't have asked for a better birthday weekend. I don't know many parents or siblings that would drive over 12 hours so that they could spend a momentous birthday with their daughter/siblings. I'm so blessed to have parents and siblings that love me so much and do so much for me.

It really, really sucks at times to live so far away, so I'm thankful they're willing to make the effort to spend special times with me. It was really hard to see them leave today, especially my little sister, but I treasured each moment with them and will look forward to when we can all be together again.

This first year in the 30s looks to be a fun and eventful one, with grad school graduation quickly approaching =). Plus, there's just 7 weeks left at TSD, then it's time for a much needed summer break!! I have to say I am looking forward to the fun that will be "club-30s" =)!!
